The Getaway is located on the most historic site in the Castle Rock Conservancy. Less than an hour from Cape Town city centre it is surrounded by imposing mountains and an expansive sea.
THE UNITS
Cape Point Mountain Getaway has two completely separate units: the Villa and the Cottage. Both have commanding sea and mountain views. They are 100% environmentally friendly and are available for short and medium-term rentals.
THE MOUNTAIN VILLA
The Mountain Villa is a modernized historic double-storey home with two bedrooms and a large open-plan lounge.
The villa can sleep a maximum of 5 guests. Upstairs and downstairs decks and huge sliding doors provide 360-degree views of False Bay and the towering mountains of the Deep South Peninsula.
The living area has comfortable couches and a wood fire large enough to cook in. It leads onto a charming garden and sprawling deck that overlook the sea. The stylish and functional kitchen comes fully equipped.
THE MOUNTAIN COTTAGE
The Mountain Cottage is a charming open-plan, one bedroom stone hideaway, tucked into the mountainside, overlooking the sea and just above a small mountain stream.
The Mountain Cottage is a candle-lit, romantic haven, with a cozy fireplace, a comfortable living room, a fully equipped kitchen and an en-suite bathroom.
Totally secluded the mountain towers above it
and False Bay lies at its feet.

* Guest Access: private (and separate) entrances; host greets you at the parking space.
* Logistics: Long-term stays are allowed; baggage drop-off allowed.
NOT INCLUDED: Television, washing machine, dishwasher, smoke alarm.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
* Hair dryers and similar appliances strictly forbidden (the solar energy system will be damaged if they are used and guests will be liable for the cost of repairs).
* The Getaway is on a mountainside and there are 39 stairs from the parking lot to the dwellings.
* This is a nature area and if you are lucky you may encounter mammals and reptiles although hey are generally shy and elusive .
* Energy (in the winter) and water (in the summer) need to be used sparingly - a good practice wherever you may be, but especially here since we are completely off the grid.
