Born out of a need and conviction to transform the lives of many learners, this facility in Rand Park Ridge was acquired during 2017 and completely renovated and transformed into a very special space to inspire and support young children’s development.
Classes are limited to no more than 15 learners each thereby providing the opportunity to create a balanced, individualised educational programme for each learner. In this manner they develop at their own pace and to their fullest potential.
The Shareholders and Directors of Randpark Ridge Montessori, Renaldo and Michele Olivier, started and have, over the past 7 years, been operating a very successful centre in Ruimsig for children who require special attention. They, together with the Principal of Randpark Ridge Montessori, Ananja de Lange, who has 17 years of experience in the education of children with learning challenges, form a formidable leadership team.
Many other schools are often overcrowded with 25-45 learners per class which leads to the children not reaching their potential. In Randpark Ridge Montessori we want to ensure that learners reach their fullest potential, not just academically, but also develop into successful goal-directed individuals empowered to become responsible and productive members of society.
Extra mural activities are being developed and include:
Chess, Soccer, Art, Dance and Netball.Plans are well advanced to start an Incubator to develop Entrepreneurs as part of equipping learners with additional life skills.
The school hours are;
- Grade RRRR to grade 7 from 08h00 to 13h30 and
- Aftercare from 14h00 to 17h30.
Parents are allowed to drop their children off in the mornings from 06h30 but the school day officially only starts from 08h00. Half-day children are to be collected between 13h30 and 14h00.
The safe and walled playground consists of neat and colourful swings, climbing frames, a boat, astro-turf mini soccer field, trees, paved walkways and neatly maintained grass. Sufficient shadow and shelter is provided. Supervision is constantly maintained.
