MEET AMIE


Amie Stewart is the founder and owner of Stewart Physiotherapy. She completed her BSc Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town and has been practicing since 2008. She has specialized in Sports Physiotherapy (SPT1) and Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (OMT1) and is currently finishing her international Mckenzie (MDT) accreditation. She has a keen interest in using both manual therapy as well as the rehabilitation in order to treat each patient holistically.


MEET LIESL


Liesl graduated with a BSc. Physiotherapy from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1998. She has extensive experience in the treatment and management of chronic pain and spinal injuries.


Liesl has trained as a Pilates instructor and is qualified in the use of acupuncture for pain relief. She has worked closely with the U19 and U21 Lions rugby teams and also specializes in the treatment and rehabilitation of sporting injuries, especially injuries related to running.


Musculoskeletal Treatment and Rehabilitation


We treat and rehabilitate spinal, joint and soft tissue conditions by using a variety of modalities including massage, joint mobilization, joint manipulation, electrotherapy, shockwave, strapping and biomechanics and posture correction.Lymph Drainage, Scar Management and Rehabilitation


We work together with your surgeon to guide you through your recovery from week 1 post surgery until full rehabilitation


Correction and Prescription


We assess biomechanical faults and weaknesses that may be contributing to sport related injuries and help correct these through exercise, as well as technique and gait correction


Performance and Enhancement


We help maximize performance by focusing on specific strength and plyometric exercises needed for a patient’s individual sport
